The Norwegian Parliament , The Storting , has been the target of a cyberattack . The attack by unknown hackers was linked to a ‘ vulnerability ’ in Microsoft ’ s Exchange software , the parliament said , adding that this was an international problem ’.

Marianne Andreassen , Secretary General of the Storting , said : “ The situation is currently unresolved and we do not yet know the full potential of the damage .”
Lotem Finkelstein , Head of Cyberintelligence at Check Point , said : “ The fact that hackers were able to breach government systems shows just how far-reaching and serious these vulnerabilities are .”
The European Banking Authority ’ s email servers have been compromised in a global Microsoft Exchange cyberattack . The EU body said personal data may have been accessed from its servers . And it had pulled its entire email system offline while it assessed the damage . On March 2 , Microsoft released patches to tackle four severe vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange Server software . At the time , the company said that the bugs were being actively exploited in ‘ limited , targeted attacks ’.
