Police and Crime Commissioner , Chris Nelson , were both in attendance on November 17 for the opening of award-winning cybersecurity solutions specialist , Core to Cloud ’ s , newly refurbished headquarters , at the 11th-century castle in Cirencester .
Commenting on the castle opening , Sir Geoffrey Clifton Brown said : “ This county is a world leader in creative industries and we want the South West to continue to lead the way in the field of cybersecurity .”
The refurbishment of the iconic , 11,000 sqft , 11th-century castle headquarters has transformed the building into a modern , collaborative workspace that will not only be enjoyed by the Core to Cloud team , but by the local community too . Its new event spaces are now open to local businesses , schools , colleges and universities .
The castle features state-of-the-art office facilities , a Star Warsstyle screening room , a podcast studio and a spacious events area for students , businesses and industry professionals to share best practices , advice and discover the latest in cyberdefence skills and technology .
The grand opening followed Core to Cloud ’ s security and compliance event , S . COM22 , which brought together the best of the South West ’ s IT and cybersecurity experts , business leaders , the MP Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown and PCC Chris Nelson , among other members of the local business community .
