ello and welcome

H to the latest edition of Intelligent CISO where we bring you a roundup of some of the top trends taking place across the global cybersecurity market . We include input from various industry experts who offer their best practice advice on some trending discussion points .

This month ’ s cover story shines a light on how Recorded Future helps its customers to realise the true value of threat intelligence . Emad Faraj , Senior Sales Director – META , discusses how the leading organisation provides valuable information about potential threats and why this is key to building a secure network . This can be understood in more detail on page 51 .
Our ‘ Cyber Trends ’ piece this issue takes a look at the cybersecurity roadmap , discovering that threats proliferate but best practice still works . Interestingly , Zeki Turedi , CTO EMEA , CrowdStrike , discusses the cybersecurity landscape in the months to come and why the way forward depends on your choice of partner , not technology .
Elsewhere in the magazine , on page 27 , I was keen to find out how the annual Data Privacy / Protection Day forces security leaders to re-establish their business practices to safeguard customer data . Contributing their thoughts were Andy Teichholz , Global Industry Strategist , Compliance & Legal , OpenText ; Cindi Howson , Chief Data Strategy Officer at ThoughtSpot ; and Candid Wüest , VP of Cyber Protection Research at Acronis .
Another thought-provoking article featuring this month comes from Neil Thacker , CISO EMEA at Netskope . He believes that the fact that new standards for post-quantum cryptography are coming is a hugely positive step forward in the constant evolution of security and why the transition to these standards will be one of the biggest transformational challenges facing security teams in the next decade . Find this on page 33 .
According to Alex Laurie , SVP Global Sales Engineering , ForgeRock , 2023 might just be the year we ‘ pass on passwords ’. He says this is a security model which has long been the most common authentication method – and tells us how the foundations for a passwordless future have already been laid . This can be found on page 67 .
To round off , we ‘ Go Phishing ’ with Anna Collard , SVP Content Strategy & Evangelist at KnowBe4 Africa , on page 71 . She tells us how she landed in her role and how she likes to relax and unwind outside the office .
