news Usecrypt announces messenger application now available on AppStore secrypt, a leading provider of secure communication technology based in Warsaw, has announced that its messenger application is now available internationally from Apple’s AppStore. U Usecrypt Messenger offers a fast, simple and fully secured way to make calls, send text-based messages and share files. Data is not stored on Usecrypt’s server, which makes messages and call logs impossible to restore once the user permanently deletes them. Usecrypt offers secure messaging, crystal-clear domestic and international calling capabilities and gives full at-rest and in-use protection with IP address anonymity for iOS and Android users. The company uses a patented method of encrypting digital data, Hybrid Virtual Key Management (HVKM), in which one unique half of the user’s encryption key is stored on their device and the other half stored on the Usecrypt server. In addition to HVKM, Usecrypt has additional layers of protection that ensure the highest security for its users. Usecrypt has experienced rapid user-base growth in 17 countries and Usecrypt Messenger recently ranked as the top paid social networking app in Poland on Apple’s App Store. It is also available from Google Play, for Android devices, with a monthly per-user subscription cost of US$14.49. 10 HELP AG HIGHLIGHTS SMART APPROACH TO CYBERSECURITY n a bid to empower Middle East enterprises to enhance their cybersecurity posture while reducing IT complexity and management overheads, Help AG has demonstrated the SMART approach to Cybersecurity at its Security Spotlight Forum (SSF). I At the events, Help AG’s white hat hackers conducted a live hacking session on the latest trend of fileless attacks, demonstrating how technologies such as steganography and undetectable encoding tools are proving difficult to detect even for next- generation endpoint security solutions. “2018 has truly been a year wherein cybersecurity has taken centre stage for every organisation, irrespective of size and industry vertical. Businesses’ dependence on IT has only deepened while the threat landscape continues to scale at an alarming pace,” explained Stephan Berner, CEO at Help AG. “Given that the growth in budgets and resources has far from kept pace with the increasing demands on IT, cybersecurity professionals must adopt a SMART approach.” The half-day SSF events – which were held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi – were kicked-off with an in-depth look at the technologies and processes implemented by the managed security services (MSS) team in Help AG’s Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC).
