UAE experts plan how to deliver game-changing tech
event in Dubai

to mastermind delivering a game-
changing tech event in Dubai. Future
Technology Week, to be held from
April 2 to 4 2019, will attract futurists,
entrepreneurs and innovators

in Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence,
Machine Learning, cybersecurity, IOT and
telecoms from all over the world.
With the event in its seventh year,
the newly formed Advisory Board
is charged with giving the strategic
direction needed to both align it to
Dubai’s super-charged mission to
become the most technologically
advanced city in the world and also
draw thousands of visitors to the city
to be wowed by the world’s most
exciting emerging technologies.
Chairman of the Advisory Board,
Colonel Saeed Al Hajri, said: “Future
Technology Week is about to see a
seismic shift. With Dubai Electronic
Security Center, Smart Dubai Office
and Dubai Police all throwing their
support behind this mission, we
intend to make this a globally-
attractive event where people come
to find true innovations in security
and technology.”
Future Technology Week will see more
than 200 exhibitors showcase the most
cutting-edge technology in their fields.
The event, which is free to attend, will
also have hundreds of educational
sessions (some with a fee), hacking
demonstrations, experiential displays
and networking features.
GEMALTO EXPANDS DATA CENTRE FOOTPRINT IN EUROPE

announced it is expanding its delivery footprint for
access management-as-a-service solutions across
the European Union with additional data centres in the region.
These newly added facilities will help the company respond to
rising demand for its cloud-based authentication and access
management solutions while also helping EU customers meet
requirements around data sovereignty.

As more companies use multiple cloud-based collaboration,
infrastructure and storage services that are delivered from
data centres around the world, securing data across all cloud
platforms while meeting local regulatory mandates has become
an increasing challenge. The addition of the new Gemalto data
centres will give organisations the ability to take full advantage
of Gemalto SafeNet Authentication and SafeNet Trusted Access
solutions while ensuring the service is delivered from within the
European Union.
