A privilege escalation and detecting lateral movement attacks , has announced it is working to provide the US Department of Defence ( DoD ) with a new generation of sophisticated , active defence technologies .

The Attivo ThreatDefend platform uses advanced deception and Machine Learning techniques to detect , degrade , disinform and divert adversaries . Threats are contained and valuable forensics gathered , providing real attack intelligence to the Common Operating Picture .
“ Active Directory plays a critical role in basic network operations . Attivo was awarded an Other Transaction Prototype Agreement for active cyberdefence with the Defence
Innovation Unit in 2019 , supporting DoD requirements for active cyberdefence that uses state-of-the-art deception techniques to detect lateral movement .
The Attivo Networks ThreatDefend Platform provides the DoD and the broader US Federal Government with comprehensive risk reduction , attack prevention , detection and intelligence collection in support of defending forward operations outlined within the Cyberspace Solarium Commission report .

DDoS attacks . In the second quarter of 2021 , the total number of DDoS attacks decreased by 38.8 % compared to Q2 2020 and by 6.5 % in comparison to the previous quarter in 2021 .

“ We traditionally associate these numbers with the beginning of holidays and vacations . In the third quarter of 2021 , we also do not see any
prerequisites for a sharp rise or fall in the DDoS attack market .”
